Disinfectant Aerosol Fogger

NRCS Reg. No: NRCS/8054/243642/1263

A breakthrough in the control of ESKAPE & unwanted micro-organisms

Building on the tried and tested efficacy of ESKAPEkill (Reg. No. NRCS/8054/243642/1252) for the control of all pathogenic micro-organisms, this new ESKAPEkill Disinfectant Aerosol Fogger will greatly assist in the control of harmful micro-organisms, wherever they occur, even in difficult to reach areas. Highly effective against a wide range of bacterial, fungal, yeasts and virus pathogens such as Listeria monocytogenes, various Vibrio species, Camphylobacter species, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, various species of Bacillus and Clostridium (both vegetative cells as well as endospores), various species of Salmonella, Enterococcus faecium, Klebsiella pneumonia, Acintobacter baumannii and Enterbacterspecies.

What is the Eskapekill disinfectant aerosol fogger?

The ESKAPEkill Disinfectant Aerosol Fogger is a ready-to-use dilution of the highly effective disinfectant, ESKAPEkill, in a pressurised can, which, once triggered will completely empty, resulting in a very fine aerosol mist which can be used to disinfect any closed area of approximately 75 m3 -100 m3 per aerosol can. Examples of such closed areas include (but not limited to) operating theatres, isolation rooms, high risk areas, consulting rooms, empty wards, ambulances and many more.

Advantages of Eskapekill - the formulation in the Eskapekill disinfectant aerosol fogger
  • ESKAPEkill has been tested against a very wide range of microbial pathogens and found to be highly effective even against very difficult to kill pathogens such as fungal spores, bacterial endospores and even naked viruses, which are extremely resistant to the action of disinfectants. ESKAPEkill has been found to be highly effective against bacterial pathogens including Listeria monocytogenes, various Vibrio species, Camphylobacter species, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, various species of Bacillus and Clostridium (both vegetative cells as well as endospores) various species of Salmonella and many others (a full list of micro-organism against which ESKAPEkill has been tested is available on request).
  • ESKAPEkill has been tested and found to be very effective against various fungal species including Aspergillus niger and Aspergillusfumigates,as well as yeast species including strains which are resistant to antifungals.
  • ESKAPEkill has been tested and found to be effective against SARS-CoV-2.
  • ESKAPEkill has been found to be non-corrosive to various metals, plastics, rubber and other surfaces.
  • ESKAPEkill has been found to be highly stable when diluted.
  • ESKAPEkill has been proven to be less prone to the development of resistance than other disinfectants. This has been extensively tested on many strains of bacteria with focus on Serratia species.
  • ESKAPEkill has shown a strong residual effect against bacterial pathogens.
  • ESKAPEkill has been shown to kill bacteria with only a 10 second contact time.
Efficacy tests of Eskapekill disinfectant aerosol fogger

In independent laboratory tests, the efficacy of ESKAPEkill Disinfectant Aerosol Fogger has been demonstrated in a renal unit in a hospital. High levels of efficacy were seen (See Table 1 and Fig 2). Very limited bacterial growth was seen on the disinfected surfaces even after 5 days. ESKAPEkill Disinfectant Aerosol Fogger is highly effective against various pathogenic micro-organisms (Table 2).

Precautions

For more information consult safety data sheet

  • Store locked up in a well-ventilated dry place away from flammable materials, food products, and packaging material.
  • Protect from sunlight and intense light. Do not expose to temperatures exceeding S0°C.
  • Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking.
  • Do not spray on an open flame or other ignition source.
  • Do not pierce or burn, even after use.
  • Do not breathe aerosol spray.
  • Wash hands and face thoroughly after handling.
  • Wear protective gloves, protective clothing, goggles and face protection. Avoid skin and eye contact with product and fumes.
  • Wear respiratory protection when entering treated area before aerosol spray deposit has settled.
  • Re-entry interval: Do not enter treated area until aerosol spray deposit has settled down/dried unless wearing the necessary protective clothing.

Directions for use

  • Shake container before use.
  • Remove people, animals, plants and open feed and food from space to be treated.
  • Highly flammable: Put off all electronics and extinguish all flames before use.
  • Protect sensitive equipment from direct exposure (cover with paper/plastic sheet).
  • Pre-clean dirty surfaces with an appropriate detergent, rinse and dry. Efficacy of disinfectant will be compromised if surfaces are soiled-see SOP for specific areas.
  • Place the canister on a solid surface in centre of area to be treated, or evenly distribute canisters if more than one is required, open cupboards, close all windows and doors, seal any openings. ESKAPEkill Disinfectant Aerosol Fogger should be placed on a raised surface (approximately 1 -1.5 m high) if area is higher than 4 m.
  • Activate the ESKAPEkill Disinfectant Aerosol Fogger and leave the area immediately.
  • Allow 40 to 60 min for the aerosol to disperse and settle before re-entry.
  • Re-introduce patients only after fumes have cleared.
  • Thoroughly rinse or wash treated linen and clothing that will have skin contact during use, to remove disinfectant residues.
  • One 400 ml canister will disinfect~ 70-100 m3 from viruses, fungi, yeast, bacteria, including spores.
